A certain b word comes to mind....i saydon't contact them!
birthdays/christmas/parents days? here we go! in-laws know when my daughter and my own birthday is but never ring to say happy birthday nor buy a card. they buy for their son (my husband) and expect cards etc from us for their birthdays and mothers/fathers day. my daughter is my husbands child which they know so why do they ignore our birthdays then expect from me? i have now stopped buying for them in the past year as i think why should i bother when they don't!.
last birthday my husband invited them to our home for a birthday dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday and they came but never once said happy birthday nor got a card. they always treat their other grandchilren and never miss their birthdays which makes me so sick
Not sure what your question is but it seems to me that you need to talk to them about this not us.
why dont you do the same thing they do? If they ask, just say "same yourself." make them realised.
