    keyboard problem

bought the palm keyboard and it worked flawlessly first couple of times I used it. Cannot get Palm to recognize keyboard now. Have checked and changed out batteries. I need some suggestions. The "coming real soon" drivers for the TX are still not available at Palm site. Don't think that is a problem.

    Best wishes

Double check that the Beam Receive is on. This will often get turned off when using the Wifi or after a soft reset.

    keyboard problem

It may be as a battery saving technique or as someother reason that whenever Wifi is enabled - it may turn off IR receive. Or it could just be a fluck.....either way it's usually the simplest answer to look at first.

Glad to be able to remind you of that......that's why I'm here - just to help. And sometimes for the beer.

Wait a minute. The universal keyboard DOES work with the TX without the driver? I heard it didn't.

    keyboard problem

Hi, I got my UWK ten days ago, I downloaded driver 1.08 from Palm support page and instaled into my TX. I have been using the keyboard and navigating the internet at the same time (it's just like having a mini-laptop ). The keyboard does just fine with Doc2Go, memopad, HanDBase, Todo, Blazer, DB, VersaMail, etc. Some times when i'm working with TX in landscape mode it turns to portrait mode and I change it back with the keyboard. If you try to use the keyboard after palm has been on for a time you have to turn it off an then on again for palm to recognize the keyboard (this is for the power saving feature). I recomend Palm TX as the best device until now and the keyboard as one of the best add-in for our Palms. I used a Palm Vx for 5 years and a Tunsten E for two months before getting my TX. Saludos desde M?xico.

Just got my keyboard today that I bought on Ebay. Loaded the new driver 1.08 I think and first time it fired right up. All of the functions seem to work. I am happy especially for $21.50
