Thread: I have a 1993 mercury grand marquis. im having trouble with my brakes?

I have a 1993 mercury grand marquis. im having trouble with my brakes. The anti-lock light will come on and stays lit all the time.
I feel a sharp vibration in the brake pedal,sometimes and it will cause the car to make a complete stop. can anyone help me with this issue. Have anyone had this problem before or understand this issue.

As you know you will feel a noticeable vibration from the brake pedal when the ABS is activated. Like when on ice etc. However the vehicle should continue on normally after you release the brake. Without the proper test equipment it is hard to say where the problem is in the ABS system. I would suggest you go to a Ford dealer and have them diagnose it for you before you start replacing parts.Could be real simple to as bad as replacing the ABS control unit..
