How many crickets should i feed my crested gecko and tank size?

i am planning on getting a baby crested gecko and i want to know how much crickets i should feed him-also i have a 20 gallon long to put him in and they say i should have a smaller one because its easier for them to eat then-but shouldnt it just be okay if i put him by the food and watch him eat it?

I would offer 1 cricket at a time until he refuses about every other day. Also the 20 gallon is far too big, the smaller the better because they feel safer. I would stick to a 5-10 gallon...

i usually buy like 20 crickets every week or two, and just dump all the crickets in the tank, that way, they can just eat whenever, and they usually dont over eat, ive never had a problem with it.
