My little sister want the sex talk?

okay, so I'm 20, and my little sister is 14. our parents are 48 and 50 and never talked to me about sex (it wouldve been too awkward anyway) and so I'm not surprised they havent talked to Shelby either. but tonight we were sitting down and talking like sister to sister and she asked about sex. it caught me off guard but I tried answering in ways that weren't too encouraging or anything but... I don't know. she's q really pretty girl and she told me that a guy has asked her to before and she told him no. so I'm debating sittig her down again and giving her the full out sex talk, all the ins and outs and details and warnings and pros and cons but... is she too young? I'm really worried if I start the talk too young it'll get her having sex. lol I guess I kinda want someone to tell me I'm crazy and to tell her that the only thing allowed in her vagina is a tampon. lol

Start with the "having respect for herself" talk. Then move on to making guys respect her too.
Explain that she did the right thing by telling that boy no and she needs to keep on saying no.
Tell her about pressure from peers to give it up and convince her that sex isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Talk about STD's, pregnancy and other problems with having unprotected sex.

That is all she needs to know for now. When she is 16 or 17 you can talk about special feelings
when excited. Main thing is to let her know she can come to you when she has questions and to
not experiment with a guy just to find out what sex is all about.

That is really nice on your part to be caring about your sister. And, guess what 14 is no so young to start talking. If she's asking you, plus she said this guy already asked her, it's best you tell her. Warn her of the creeps and to stay away from them. I also think you should mention it to your Mom. You're sister's too young and is best she gets informed now before a creep tries to do something w/her.

I got the talk at 11 or 12. And i know teen moms and they said their parents didn't give them the sex talk. I think you should so she could get a heads up and be really aware of what can happen.
