Do most Egyptians value their native wildlife?

The ibis is something I always associate with Egypt; also the crocodile, the vulture and eagle; water birds like flamingos and herons; gazelles, gerbils [?] and the wild cat that may be the ancestor of Egypt's famous domestic cats. Can a visitor see any of these animals in the wild?

I'm not sure if u can see any of those animals except either in the zoo, or if u're crazy enough to go on a desert safari that takes around 14 days starting from bahareya oasis and ending up in Aswan, passing by the Libyan and Sudanese borders.. They do this here and it costs more than 1000 USD. And the answer of your question is a big NO.. Most Egyptians don't give a rat's a$s about wildlife.. They ruined most of it including fish
