    *OFFICIAL THREAD: Nokia 6650 (RM-324 6650d-1bH) NAM 3G 850/1900

Its a very useful application to have on your mobile. You can use it to go to links quickly by just scanning a barcode (or more correctly: a matrix code). It is used in advertisement also. Sometimes you will see billboards with a data matrix; they hope that people will scan the code and follow the link on their browser. Of course, the data can be anything, but web links and serial numbers are the most common, as far as I can tell. I downloaded a nice little Firefox add-on which translates links into data matrix form (does QR too), its very useful for not having to type those long web addresses on a non qwerty keypad.

For more info you can search for "QR code" or "Datamatrix". Wikipedia has good articles, with codes you can test. Also nokia has a page which translates strings (and links) to such codes; just search for Nokia Bar Code Reader. And in case you are wondering, the codes scan off an LCD display just fine.

FWIW - sound quality & volume are GREAT with the phone itself, my BT headset and my speakerphone/GPS headset. Better RF performance than the loaner Sony W810i I was using.

I don't use MfE, but I can confirm that Nokia Email Beta, Jaiku, and the camera can all three function at the same time with no apparent issues.

Yeah the phone is incredibly solid! Does anyone know the Function Number for the "unlock" function on the keypad. I'm using magickey (which is great) but I can't figure out what the code is for the "unlock" function is. please advise..

Having said that.... I don't think this method works anymore. I can't see the 'sys' folder nor create one.

So if anyone knows of another method to install unsigned programs, please point it out.

All this trouble to install something we want, and we see them signing a virus!!!
