Im in canada and we have national healthcare.


Currently the nurses (the ones who have gone to school for 4 years/etc) make great money but long hours. the other nurses make decent money but work long hours/etc. They are short staffed and overworked.


in essence nationalized healthcare will increase taxes while most doctors will be paid the same amount as they currently due with marginal increases.

Or they make less then they currently do if you are a specialist.

i am in a military health care family, and since i was little my parents have always made sure i had health insurance other than that which is provided by the government. my dad still uses the VA hospital for all of his medical problems but he never wanted me to go there. but i would say that is more an issue of good doctors not sticking around getting paid shit for working at the VA and instead going into practice for themselves where they can make much more. that wouldnt happen in a universal healthcare system atleast that I can logically see.

The only reform McCain has planned is further mangling of the system and health insurance lobbyist payoffs to keep on fucking us the way they do. As long as we slave for corporate america we can have our health....as long as it isnt too expensive and doesnt affect their bottom line. Meanwhile corporate america also has a hand in keeping us unhealthy by saturating our food supply with chemicals and undigestible shit. Sadly, if were not productive were costing them too much money to remain alive. Bishops from the top left and right, two knights out of nowwhere, slain by a pawn. Is there anyone still out there that is gullible enough to buy into the regurgitative bullshit that oozes its way out of McCain/Palin's mouth? They have a way of talking while not saying anything all the while being ever so careful not to spill the beans of what these theives really have planned.

Palin is either really good at smiling over a face of shame or she really is this ignorant. Either way, she is a retard. And those who support her comments are brain dead. you have to be. She has no idea whats going on and she sure as hell didnt figure it all out in a few days.

What did Palin or McCain say in these debates that made you say,"hmm thats a real good point, that sounds like it could really help me out and make this country better off ..." I know I personally had my ears locked on everything said in these last 2 debates and not once did I hear even a shred of what could be considered positive change from the reps side. In fact, there seemed to be no change at all as far as they were concerned. Just a lot maverick this and joe gosh darnly that, are you fcking serious with this shit? Am I really seeing the same thing happen again for the third time? Who are you people that fall for this dumb shit time and time again? Where do you go for three years before you reemerge again to vote in another theif/terrorist? Its almost as if none of this affects you and youre watching this all go down from a remote location laughing until you cant breathe.

Since when is a maverick someone who fucks around in the military under the good graces of his father's last name then promptly gets shot down when he had no business being up in the air to begin with and a bimbo from a land that's only significance is OIL who's only intention is to drill for that oil. and when either of them get tossed even the slightest of curveballs they go back to the default maverick/war hero schtick. well its also another tab the government would have to pick up..... seeing as health care is expensive yet "we" will provide it to everyone for cheap is not beneficial. Plus doesnt the demmys want to reduce government spending? Doesnt seem so.............

In america the people with the most control over the health care system are profit-minded. Shareholders of insurance companies and health care providers are the ones people answer to. The shareholders are in it for the money. Therefore a very large percent (the highest percent that some very powerful, intelligent, and motivated people can keep it at) of the money spent on "healthcare" goes to private citizens pockets.

That means the people that have the most say in what kind of treatment you recieve are always weighing your health aginst the profit margin. How healthy do you have to be to achieve optimum efficiency?

It also means the people that have the say on whether or not you pay through the nose yourself, make more money for denying people. I don't think even some brain washed dumbasses on this board are stupid enough to try and tell me that some people that pay their premiums aren't screwed over. Sometimes at the cost of their limbs, livelihoods or even lives.

It's funny how some otherwise intelligent people that can recognize that there is no black and whites only greys, fail to apply that wisdom to economics. I'm a huge fucking fan of capitalism, but it's not right in all places. What would happen if Wal-mart swallowed every company in every sector? What would america look like then? There is always a place to draw the line. Absolutes are for fucking simpletons.

I hope one day your population wakes up and returns to it's people oriented ways. What do you think your founding fathers would think of this country today? They were modern men, who fought for what they believed in, questioned authority, and were willing to fight for freedom.

Modern americans are lazy and complacent work animals who are too scared to fight.
