How long does a HTC Wildfire S record for?

Right, I'm getting a HTC Wildfire S soon (yay!) and I'm a second year University student. I take notes manually, and I can access the power points afterwards, but often the lecturer talks around the subject so I'd like to record some of the harder lectures I have this semester. Could I record lectures on my HTC when I get it?
As a poor student this would save me buying a dictaphone, I have a Micro SD Memory card that's 2 GB, so would I:
a) Have enough memory to record 2 or 3 lectures a day (I'd delete them straight away afterwards)
b) Will the phone allow me to record for an hour? (My old one only does 10 minutes, but it's REALLY old...)
Help is much appreciated, I want to try and figure it out before the new term starts!

i have a htc desire s which is just a bit bigger than the wildfire s but exact same phone basically. my phone records for 1 hour. Well thats depending on memory
