    is it the ceramic glaze or the tea?

    made a creamic mug with clay and i remembered the glaze i used smelled fishy..... i made coffee and added tea with it.... i taste fish on my drink??? XD

    After firing any source of fishyness would have burned off. There should be only non-soluble and certainly non-volatile (smell) compounds in your glaze now and your glaze should be rock solid and basically glass.

    If you remembered about the fishy smell and wondered about it before tasting tea it's probably autosuggestion.

    though mixing coffee with tea sounds fishy to me.

    if its the tea you can always check by putting it in a different mug. and if it is hte mug, then you can always put a clear coat on and it might get rid of the smell.
