ok i have gone over all the steps on page one an i steel cant get it to work my budy that helps me with some of the things i do has tryed it as well an is at the same point im at theres a nother hiden menu that we have to enter to get the rest of our setings for the wap an mms mabe i need to download a def program then we r using an its qpst bitpim sorry bout tha last msg i didnt thank bout that

Thank you for that info and sorry to have cause you angst ... please understand that i have never fully flashed a phone before ... a while ago i got some help with some settings on a already flashed phone on this site and hoped i could burable through doing this u740 for my daughter ... well i truly am burabling though it! :doh: much of the terminology is foreign to me and many of the people that have given me help seem to assume i know what i'm doing lol .... lol .... ok its not that funny ..... i truely appreciate the help i've gotten so far and i think i'm getting close ... i did download and load the 1040 prl to my phone using qpst ... i opened phone in bitpim and verified that the 1040 prl file was there ..... but when i dial *228 i still get the verizon activation and then when i go back into the phone with qpst the settings i inputted are ok except the PPP USER ID goes back to the mynuraber@vzw not the mynuraber@mycricket that i inputted ....... in qpst i did finally find where the SID/NID settings are ... but i have no idea what they're supposed to be set at. also i have not seen anywhere in bitpim or qpst that shows MDN or MIN settings ... i'm not a tech and i don't do this for a living .... i'm just a dad that wants to give his daughter something better than a cheesy motorola v265 .... any help would be greatly appreciated. :buddies:

Still no luck getting wap working on the U740. Followed settings as instructed, here are a few things I have added, but still no luck. Using samsung pstlite, IS-95/1x/1x-EVDO_DATA settings: QNC_ENABLED is Disabled, set Enable MIP profile to OFF, DATA_SO_SET at IS-707, MDR_Mode set to MDR ONLY. As stated, SIP NAI, and AN NAI are set to [email protected], and I cannot find a way to change it. I looked through the PARAMTABLE EDITOR on the phone and cannot find any settings of use. This would be a great phone for cricket if the wap would work. Please post if you can shed some light on this problem.

Where did you find the user value edit digit to edit? is this a common occurance for the settings to go back if this value isnt changed?
