My brother's XBox 360 doesn't have a wireless adapter built in, so we went to Game Stop and bought a Wireless 'N' Networking Adapter made by Datel. It is grey with a USB connector that is supposed to pick up our wireless network we have through Linksys. The adaptor did not come with an installation disk, but it was brand new so we figured it didn't need one.

We plugged the adaptor into the XBox and it recognized our Linksys wireless network was present, but it couldn't connect. We tried retesting the connection and even restarting the XBox, but it still didn't connect. So we then tried entering in the IP address on the XBox network settings instead of having it set on automatic, but that didn't work either. We tried several other IP variations and manually entered in information for the network settings, but nothing worked.
Whenever we plugged in the adaptor, the wireless connection on our computer would actually cut out. It never was as strong as it usually is whenever we had the adaptor plugged in.
We tried resetting Linksys to factory settings and we even removed security passwords on the network, but again the adaptor couldn't connect. It recognizes Linksys is there, but we can't get internet on the XBox. Right now we have gotten to XBox Live with a LAN cable, but we really want to make this adaptor work.

So are we doing something majorly wrong? Does this adaptor not work with Linksys? If anyone has made this work, we would love to know how! Thanks!
