So I'm taking my U.S. History test in two days. The dilemma is that I haven't taken AP U.S. History. I actually took Honors U.S. History but I had a really tough teacher so I figured it would be worth my while to take the test.

Anyways, I only have one and a half days left until my test and I'm still scoring in the mid-high 600s. I need to get that to a 750. The thing is, I just need to cut how many I'm getting wrong. My main weaknesses are vague questions and POP CULTURE REFERENCES. I'm sooo bad at getting down culture during each time period.

My biggest problem in this category is novels. In every test, there are always 2-3 questions about books from a specific time period. Not having taken AP U.S., I generally only know one of the books given in the answer choices. Thus, I ALWAYS get these questions wrong. How can I memorize important books and authors -- how do I distinguish between what I need to and what I don't need to know?
