Well apparently not. Like you would think the Canon 17-40mm wouldn't be all that sharp because it is an F/4. Due to that you have to use a slower shutter speed to compensate for that or suffer from high ISO noise. Slower shutter speeds I would think give you less sharp images. But apparently the Canon 24-105mm f/4 is sharper than the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8. How is that? You could use a faster shutter speed with the 2.8 making it sharper. Also lenses aren't usually sharp wide open so it would be sharper at f/4 than the 24-105mm at f/4. Im just confused with this. Like people say the Canon 28 2.8 is sharper than the 28 1.8 which confuses me.
also would the canon 28mm 1.8 give sharper images than the 2.8 L would?
