I have a 2007 dodge ram (2500 HEMI) and was having a particular problem with it after service at a local mechanic shop (wont say the name of it). Upon getting it back, it would shut off when stopping. It also has a "rough idle" when stopping. This shop couldn't find anything wrong with it so I took it to the dealer. They cleaned the throttle body which seems to have made it harder to reproduce this problem. I thought it was fixed but today I was only able to reproduce the problem once. The thing I notice though is that at some stops, the car has a rough idle like it wants to shut off. I do not know much about cars and I'm not sure if the battery was ever disconnected causing the car to relearn idle values. How long should it take for this truck to relearn idle values? I need to know if this is something I will need to deal with for x amount of days or if I should take it back to the dealer.
