i bought a used toshiba dvd player with a philips universal.the remote works but i have no manual for it.help?

It's Philips remote as I said.It has a TV,VCR,CBL,DVD AND SAT.It also has closed caption subtitle setting and sleep control but as I said no manual or model number (that I have been able to find anyway).I appreciate any help I can get.Wish I could provide more info
