I've read many posts where the betrayed partner was in complete shock about the affair. The betrayed partner either went into a "no contact" phase or literally begged the cheating partner to remain with them (usually to no avail).
Personally, I believe in the "blitzkrieg" strategy:
Immediately separate
a) finances (credit cards and other joint bank accounts)
b) insurance policies and wills (health coverage included)
c) bills and other living expenses
d) debts
Full disclosure of the affair:
a) family of cheating partner
b) family of the lover of the cheating partner
c) employer of both cheaters (if applicable)
d) clergy of cheating partner
This procedure may or may not lift the cheating partner out of their "fog", but it would give the betrayed partner the opportunity to display that he/ she means serious business to the cheating partner.
What's your opinion on dealing with infidelity?
Thanks for your response.
