If you unlock an iPhone 4 from Fido, and put a Rogers SIM card in, can you still access the internet?

So I'm probably getting an iPhone 4 soon, but the problem is, it's locked and on the Fido network. (Canada). I'm on Rogers, and I want to unlock it so that it will be compatible with my Rogers SIM card. So if I do unlock it, can I use all it's features like the internet, app store, ect? I do have a data plan with Rogers, so it wouldn't be a problem. Thanks.
