Last week I went to the optician for a contact lens check up and she said my prescription had improved so I went from -2.75 in one eye to -2 and -2.25 in the other to -1.75. She gave me some trial lenses to take away and I see fine with these new ones.

My question is this - with such a dramatic reduction in my prescription why don't I notice that my vision without my glasses is better? I hoped that maybe I would be able to go without contacts when she said my prescription had gone down but it doesnt' seem to have made that much difference to my vision without them. Will my eyesight adjust to the new prescription and improve over time so that I don't need to wear contacts?
