I am in a 36 month contract with Telus for my Iphone 4. I got it back in April. I have to get out of my contract because I am moving to an area where they do not provide service. I thought this meant they would have to cancel my contract without fee as it is not my fault they don't offer service. Is there any legal way out of my contract? Are there any less-than-illegal way to cancel? They want to charge me 200$ fee for changing my data plan, 450$ for ECB on my iphone discount, as well as a 50$ admin fee. That seems a little crazy where I love Telus and if I could, I would love to stay with them for my 36 month term and even longer. I am planning on returning to a Telus area next year and they won't even suspend my services for a year where I can pick back up with my contract next year. Help? anyone?
