I'm thinking of becoming a forensic scientist...

I'm an introvert, and I have much lower standards for a lot of things, but there not that low, and this job looks really appealing to me. It's not a super big job like a chemical engineer, but it isn't that low either. Plus, I'm a fan of maths and sciences and I can get into the A range really easily.

I was wondering what this job is like? I'm sure its nothing like the TV shows, and I was wondering what you guys do on an average work day?
Also, I'm in the US and in 10th grade right now, is there anything extra I should be doing right now?
I'm thinking of taking some higher level science courses, like AP next year or when they become available. As well as forensics and similar.

Thanks!
