Awesome Thread. I love Man vs Food. My favourite show ever.
Would love to find something here in Kent.
I heard a story on Radio 1 last week one evening (Friday I think it was) about some guy who did a Pizza slice challenge with his mates at a Pizza Hut. Can't remeraber how many exact slices he downed, but it was some absurd nuraber...
Not sure if they are still doing this .
BBC - Derby - Features - Steak-out!
It's the same village that you looked at the Lotus Stuart
I did 18 slices once at Uni including crusts, which was our record. I'm sure it doesn't quite measure up to some of the above though!
Also, myself and a couple frienRAB did one challenge where we had to eat a 16'' deep pan pizza, a tub of Hagen Daz, a litre of Coke and a Garlic Baggette each in less time than the Two Towers extended edition. No one did it, but I remeraber I had everything done bar two slices of pizza

Lunchtime buffet?
There is a cafe in or near Croydon that does a breakfast challenge - tin of beans, pack of bacon, pack of saussages, various black puddings, tomoatos, rounRAB of toast. Finish it and it's free. Can't remeraber the name of the place.
Yep, £3.95 well spent at the time
Remeraber doing a fair few of those myself, back in the student-days.
I'm ashamed to say I really like Man v Food too
It's wrong on so many levels and oddly is a metaphor for America vs Earth's resources. But is strangely compelling car crash tv, eating by-proxy, he's killing himself and hardening his arteries so I don't have to. A veritable gastronomic Jesus Christ, dying for our pornographic food lust.
I won't be doing any of these food challenges at all, but I have found myself ramping up the chilli as of late and I suspect Man v Food is to blame.
Anyway, I thought I'd share Charlie Brooker's take on it
Have you ever seen the 'making of' on man vs food. He talk about how he prepares, doing lots of running and gym work. I know he's not exactly tiny but he's in much better shape than you'd think doing that show!
