Show me in the thread where I even ONCE said progressive taxation is bad? I'll save you the trouble, I didn't. I said it isn't fair in the strictest definition of the word fair. I even showed you the dictionary definition.

And this entire line of discussion started because of the LIE you people like to tell about the tax code that rich people aren't paying their share. Well, if they are paying more than anyone else then the system is inherently unfair because it introduces bias. Whether that lack of fairness is moral/right/whatever or not is a completely different discussion and not the discussion I'm having with you right now.

I'm sorry that you feel the need to see things that aren't there just so you have windmills to fight with. I'm not even really trying to argue with you in this thread, just pointing out the falsehood inherent in the very beginning of your argument: that the rich aren't paying their share.

Since they are paying more than their share, you are wrong and it is an inherently unfair system. That's all that I've been trying to explain to you since I started posting in this thread and you're too durab or too worked up to just say, "okay yea you're right, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't pay more."

The problem is that some democrats and republicans on here don't argue on principle.

The system as it is taxes poor people to give welfare to the rich. I'm against taxes altogether, but in a situation where there is taxes, then I would rather that everyone be taxed the same percentage rather than poor to middle income people being taxed a high percentage to benefit the rich.
