Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

Taxes are necessary to have a government that provides defense of the country, law enforcement and basic services.

It makes sense to increase the tax the people and entities who are the least affected by such an increase (ie who can afford it) than it does to instead get that revenue off middle and upper-middle class people whose spending and saving habits it does affect and who are critical to the overall economy and stability of the government.

I'm pretty sure Kobe Bryant and Paris Hilton can afford to pay a higher tax rate and that their spending one way or another isn't going to make a difference in the economy or in our fiscal crisis.

They should have focused on creating jobs. Had their been job creation they'd have more income to tax. Had their been more job creation there would be less people sucking down entitlement programs, food stamps, unemployment, etc. When people have jobs they spend money.

We need producers at this time.

Increasing taxes is stupid right now. This entire budget saying they reduced the deficit is stupid. Everyone knows the wars are drawing down. Both sides used this as a "deficit reduction" talking point. The rest came from the CBO stating that the Bush tax cuts are set to expire next year, again.

Why is it when the government reduces income/corporate taxes they actually receive more in revenue? It tenRAB to spur growth and job creation.

Anyways,.. it's about time for bed.

    werd

It just ignores issues that transcend political affiliations and parties. The two modern parties and "liberal/conservative" labels are all more similar than not.

I'm saying some compensation isn't incorporated into the financial statements appropriately as they are treated as a sale of equity below market value which is nothing more than an increase in equity and cash. This represents a loss of capital.

These options are deducted for tax purposes as they are reported on W-2 wages and generally taxed as ordinary income, except for certain qualified options that receive preferential capital gains treatment.

Okay, so if corporations have been exploiting every tax loophole, how come shit still costs more money?

The idea that corporations charge less money because they make more money is ridiculous. They exist to make money. If they didn't, they would fail at their primary purpose.

Also, government regulations in business are not a bad thing. We are a government of the people. So when you keep "big government" out of business, you are keeping people out of the way of obscene profits, while still taking the people's money on the flipside in the form of subsidies.

"But nearly all big airlines -- including low-cost carriers Southwest, JetBlue and AirTran -- decided to oRABet the "tax holiday" by raising fares by the same amount. Two others, Virgin America and Frontier, initially passed the savings along to fliers but later backtracked."

When you have total, unbridled control of the government and you increase spending by the trillions at the expense of the economy, against public opinion and you get on TV and lie to the world about it I don't know what more proof you really need.

Hopefully he doesn't get four more years and he sees a challenger within his own party because he's basically been nothing but a Dem pet project puppet since he was put in charge.

For God's sake the man fomented an entirely new political uprising against him in the Tea Party his spending and idiotic policies were so radical and out of touch.
