ios 5.0.1 question

I just received the notification for the ios update last night and I was wondering if I should update or wait to update. I heard many things that it didnt change anything about the battery or people lost more percentage of battery then before so i dont know if i want to update or not. One other question if anyone could answer this. sometimes when i go into itunes or the apps section it act like it loading then it stop and brings me back to the home screen. The phone is fairly new yet. any answers to this would be greatly appreciated.

The update was good for me and my 4S. It also fixes a security hole. Do it.
