Im stuck with what to do with my road cycling. Is it too late to make high mark achievements in cycling? I am currently 21, and there was a time which I felt stronger than the junior national champion from a few years ago who grew up in my area, and him and I were around the same age give or take a few months when I felt strong enough to drop him on climbs and compete with the category 3 racers.

Since then I joined college and my performance has gone way down to were I can barely compete against category 4 level of racing (not trying to sound elitist, all apologies if I am), is there any hope on re-finding the strength I once had when I was 17? Im still roughly the same weight (145-150 at height 5'10) as I always been.

Basically someone throw me a midnight pep talk X-P ha but if cardiovascular strength builds up on top of itself over a set of years, do I ever lose that over the course of 3 years?
