Here is some background info:
-I have never been on a motorcycle before
-Taking the MSF course in the beginning of June
-I don't want a more expensive bike or more than 250cc

What I like about the Ninja: The body shape, ability to ride on the highway faster/better, the cost, fuel injected (easier to start)
What I don't like about the Ninja: The paint job (I want an all black but unfortunately the 2012 has yellowish markings on it)

What I like about the CBR: The paint job, option of ABS (+$500, but worth it if it will help out. Safety is very important to me.)
What I don't like about the CBR: The body shape is okay but I can't stand how the mirrors look.

Help me decide between the two.
How important is ABS for a brand new rider? Will NOT having ABS doom me?
I read a review about the Ninja not being well for city traffic, how true is this?
Can I replace the mirrors with ones more similar to the Ninja?
How hard is it to start a bike with a choke (the Ninja)?

I know I'll ultimately decide after I take the MSF course and have some experience on a bike.
Oh yes, and I prefer the higher MPG from the Honda.
