    Setter or a Golden Retriever

I picked up a golden retreiver puppy on 10-29. He was 9 weeks when we got him. So far he's proven to be pretty Damn smart. Fast learner! His name is Buju. I'll post pics later...

Side note, my parents had a golden Pyranese (hybrid between golden retreiver and great pyranese) for the past 12 and us just past away the week of Thanksgiving. He was a great dog!!

    Setter or a Golden Retriever

get a border collie. they are consistantly regarded as the most inteligent dog breed. I had one throughout most of my childhood. They are second to none in terms of their ability to communicate with and understand people. really amazing dogs.

    Setter or a Golden Retriever

Had 2 golden retrievers since I was born, when one died we got a Brittany Spaniel. I don't hunt but everybody says Brittanies are great for hunting. I'm all for going to the pound and seeing what they have first though.

i was going to recommend pound dog as well but since you are using hunting with it no clue.

personally if i got a dog itd be a corgi or corgi mutt. more likely to get chinchillas or turtles though. penguins if/when i can afford to drop $20k/yr on pets.

German ShepherRAB are awesome dogs. They don't have a soft mouth like Retrievers and Setters do though (for ducks/birRAB), that's why I'm kinda set on one of those two breeRAB. Irish Setters are kinda rare. I wish I knew someone that had one so I could get some actual experience with it.

A setter/golden mix would be rad...if I could find one somewhere.

red fox lab, we babysit one maybe 4-5 weeks out of the year every year and it is the smartest/best dog ive ever encountered. The owner quail/pheasant/duck hunts with it regularly and has 0 complaints.
