I watched it earlier, for those who are to lazy to watch it, congress wants to pass a law that gets rid of piracy on the internet, but by doing that sites like reddit, youtube, vimeo, facebook, etc are in jeopardy and may be shut down. The rest is the British guy saying shit about why and what it will do but that is it in a nutshell.

You'd be surprised, they said they postponed the meeting to pass it until next year. Then set up a "secret" meeting to pass it on the 21st, under everyones noses. Everyone found out somehow... the government is tricking us and trying to pass this, and they may very well get away with it. Do you really think even 10% of the people voting on this even really understand the content of this bill?
