    setting the brakes

So I have a 3Racing FGX with a 21.5t Novak Ballistic motor, Novak Edge ESC, and a spektrum DX3S transmitter. So my question is, how do I set the brakes? I hit a wall cause I pushed forward on the trigger thinking that it would brake and it didn't do a thing. Sometimes when i want to reverse, there is a slight delay from when I stop and am able to reverse. I've researched, and have not found anything on how to set brakes. thank you.

    setting the brakes

Your Dx3s menu options has a brake/throttle setting. Go trim settings and look for st & th, they should have % next to them as well. Also go to novak website and look up our esc under support, should give you detailed instructions in setting drag brake if applicable. Hope this helps.

    setting the brakes

Thanks this has really helped. However, I'm not sure how much brake to set. Is too much bad for the motor?

    setting the brakes

You don't want reverse to start immediately, trust me.

You should have your radio at full range when setting end points on your ESC. You can't damage your motor with too much brakes, but if it isn't stopping in time, brake earlier.
