Why do I hate talking to people?

I'm 19 and all my life and even in high school I just hated talking to people. I'm not shy or afraid to talk to people but sometimes I get anxious before I talk to a friend because I hate talking. People always called me the quiet girl but its just that I have nothing to talk about. After I got in a car accident it really upset me so now I dont even talk to my bestfriend anymore or havent talked to her in a 8 months because im never in the mood to talk to anyone. What should I do and should I call my best friend after almost a year of not calling her? Thanks

It is because of your age. It happens to everyone at this age. Teen age people would like to be alone .... Nothing abnormal in it.

On the contrary - unless you want to be labeled as the "estranged" in your family or group of friends - you should start talking to people. I too have that problem,but its hard to go by in life without talking to anyone. You just have to be confident in your self and be confident with your friends. If you have a problem, you should sometimes ask for advice and on with it. You can also share interests.

Call up the best friend and eat out.
