I accidentally split the bottom of my Chrysler 300 front bumper. It was pouring rain and I parked too far over a concrete parking barrier. The metal rod holding down the barrier was sticking up enough to hook under my bumper. When I backed out of the stall it vertically split my bumper about three inches. #^$%!

It's a clean split so I think I can fix it. To do so I need to get the front bumper off. I should be able to fix it with some resin jelly/cream hardener and a fiberglass mat. But I can't get to the cracked bumper unless I can remove the bumper from the frame. I just tried to fix it but couldn't access the cracked bumper to get the resin and fiberglass mat secured.

Looking at the bumper it seems like it is secured by a bunch of hexagonal bolts. I should be able to loosen them with an allen wrench. But I've heard bumpers can be tough to get off and put back on. This sounds too easy. I would be embarrassed if I got the bumper off but couldn't get it back on my car!

Thanks for any thoughts, suggestions or ideas.
