What is this secret to winning clue?

Clue, you know, like the boardgame.. Anyways, there was this certain way to find out which person, place, or weapon did it and you either ask like one card that you do know and two you don't or you ask two you do know and one you don't and somehow it can give you the answer sometimes like if nobody has that card, its the one in the envelope. Does anyone know how that really goes? And how it works? Thanks!

Position yourself to the right to the person who is most likely to win. This way you will be able to throw them off by lying about your hand of cards. Do this only occasionally, they may become suspicious and make sure that they never actually see your cards, even after the game.

Be observant. Pay attention to the other players' body language. You know that if a person throws their cards down, they don't have any of those cards the other person needs.
Watch other people checking their list off. Watch the person asking the question. If another player shows them a card, secretly watch where the first person writes the X down on the paper. If he writes it low on the sheet of paper, it is a room. If he writes it at the top, it means he was shown either a weapon or a character. Become familiar with the layout of the paper. You get better at this with more experience.
Pay attention to what card names are being said over and over. If no one seems to have it, it is most likely in the envelope.
Never give any clues to what you think is in the envelope. Never tell anyone that you know or have a hunch. They will be able to gather clues to your suspicion by the questions you ask. For example, if you admit to almost know who did it, then in your next turn you ask to see the Colonel Mustard card, people will believe you think it is Colonel Mustard and you were checking to make sure it was him. This is also a great way to throw people off.
Be sure to not let any body language give other players clues. This can often give away answers to what cards you have, and how far along you are in winning the game. Having your opponents underestimate you always gives you a head start. Try throwing them off, if you are winning, slouch over, then perk up like you are winning, then look frustrated.
If you are allowed, take notes during the game. If you are not allowed or do not want to cause suspicion, take out your cell phone or blackberry and pretend to be texting while you are actually writing notes on who has what cards. If you do this right, you may get half of the deck written down, excluding half the deck and doubling your chance of winning.
Use your common sense, and still play the game. Ask intelligent questions and pay attention to the information given.
Have fun and realize that you may not win every game you play.
