I used to skate a lot during the "second wave" of skateboarding, around 74-79. I quit for many years and at 48 years old started skating again. I can now skate almost at the level i used to many years ago, even a couple of more tricks actually, but it is so tempting to learn "street" style(new school), but i think it would take me sooo long to learn it well, oh, and i don't care about flying down El Toro type stair sets or giving myself brain damage on handrails, but i would like to learn many of the flip tricks, etc...hell to be honest, i can barely ollie. I can skate the frick out of a ditch though while the youngsters riding the metal ramps nearby just sit and learn haha. I'll eventually decide where to take it from here, but just wondered if anyone haas ever found themselves in this situation, young or older skaters please share your thoughts.....
