what is the ending? I'm confused.. does it mean that the grandchild and grandmother will soon cry... or that the grandchild has lost their innocence?
and what does it mean when the stove and almanac speak?
please explain why you think what you do.
I'm going to explain the poem in class and so far what i think is that the grandchild will loose their innocence because she will cry and fully understand the sorrow in the home and the two things speaking made me think that it was just reflecting what the grandmother was thinking.
