I'm not finished yet. I usually don't do rhyming poems but I wanted to give it a chilling quality. Anyway, please R/C, it's much appreciated!

Night was arching overhead
my midnight trek across the park.
An earthen chill rendered me silent
when a nearing mass shattered the dark.
The carriage engulfed me suddenly
the stallion's hooves if made by glass,
the driver's smile bleached the night
while his reigns on my face shadows cast.
"This ground's hardly safe
for a woman alone."
He opened his doors
while my eyes closed towards home.
So the carriage moved on
into blackening scenes,
the ethereal ride
held illusions of dreams.
Then limbs of wood cracked
and the grip of air snapped,
from its crevices came figures;
the carriage was lapped.

I'm adding more but what are your thoughts so far?
