    Have a credit card since 2001 and was told I had to have PPI or I wouldn't get card (Ireland) can i claim?

    I have also been in a sick pay scheme at work for the last 13 years

    You have to prove that it was mis-sold. Look at Moneysavingexpert -- PPI claims and it will give you the info.

    1) depends if ireland have the same ruling as UK,

    if not then you cant

    2) depends if PPI is actually a condition of getting a card
    (that is - if its true that you cannot get a card unless you have PPI)
    If its true then you cant
    (you were not mis-sold, i.e you were not lied to in order to get you to buy PPI)

    3) It depends who told you -
    If it was the credit card company that told you and they sold you the PPI then you might have a claim.
    (and you have to be careful - did they say you MUST have it,? or you SHOULD (or OUGHT to) have it.? - only if they said you MUST have it would you have a case)

    If the credit card company told you but you took it out from another company not connected to the credit card company, then its unlikely you could claim
    (rather - you could claim, but its unlikely you would win)

    If somebody else told you and you took it out from the credit card company, or another company then you cant claim



    (your scheme at work is irrelevent)
