    How is the insurance requirement(and the penalty for not buying)...?

    not a tax on the middle class? If you think about it, the poor are covered by Medicaid, the rich already buy their own insurance. So who is this requirement going to hit? The middle class. Especially the lower middle class.
    @evirustheslaye: Sorry you are wrong about that. I make too much for public healthcare, but I don't have any money above what I need to pay my bills that I already have. NO, I don't have health insurance because of that.

    Well if you already got insurance you don't have to pay the fine, if you don't make enough to afford insurance you don't have to pay the fine.
