OMAHA, Neb. -- Billionaire Warren Buffett is again calling for higher taxes on the "ultrarich" and he's urging Congress to compromise on spending cuts and tax increases.

In the article, Buffett mocked the idea that investors would pull back if capital gains taxes increase. Buffett said he's never seen that happen, even when capital gains taxes were above 25 percent early in his investing career.

"Let's forget about the rich and ultrarich going on strike and stuffing their ample funds under their mattresses if -- gasp -- capital gains rates and ordinary income rates are increased," Buffett said. "The ultrarich, including me, will forever pursue investment opportunities."

Buffet has a big heart and even though he is looking out for himself. He is still cool in my book. He knows that you can't have a strong economy if all the wealth is concentrated in only a few hands. That is why Communism fails each and every time its tried.
@Jonathan- Its not that we support Republicans because they help the rich. The problem is that what the Demonrats call rich is different from what the real meaning of rich really stands for. In other words someone who makes 30 grand a year and after expenses makes 20 thousand or less is considered rich in those Demonrats eyes. So they charge something like 14 grand in taxes so the poor soul is left with only 6 thousand dollars per year. The sad part is that they keep increasing those taxes until you wind up living in a card board box in the street. Those Demonrats are not your friend anymore than those Republicrats.
@James- Buffet does believe in Monopolies or what he calls Companies with a moat. Which is code word for Monopoly. That is very dangerous.
