This is a serious question, covered well in this short talk by management theorist Andrew McAfee.

I've been suggesting for the last couple years here at Y!A politics we will need a new economic system sometime in the near future. Mr. McAfee arrived at the same conclusion, well, almost. He came to the same conclusion about the last step before the need for a new economic system, if I'm right. Please watch his video and let me know if you think I'm on the right track.

McAfee is a principal research scientist at the Center for Digital Business, at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He brings clarity to something we all suspect is coming and he does it in a far, far faster and better way than I could no matter how much typing I did.
