Hello everyone,

I am 20 years old, nearly 21 and I live in the UK. I am about 6ft 2 inches tall and I weight about 10 and a half stone. I really struggle with putting weight on.

I quite skinny but I have got broad shoulders. I would like to know how can I gain weight and put on muscle, what foods do I need to eat? Are things like pasta, potatoes, porridge, veg, peanut butter and chocolate spread good things to eat?

In terms of putting on muscle I can't afford to go to a gym, would skipping and doing press ups and doing sit ups every day would that be a good thing to do? Would that help me put on muscle and would that help me tone up?
