Last night my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time, after discussing it beforehand. When he first pushed in, he hit my hymen (I'm assuming) because there was a sharp stinging pain. I told him to go on, and after a few more stabs of pain he finally pushed all the way in, penetrating me fully. The sharp pain went away once he was all the way in, and became more of a dull ache/soreness, not too bad. He came in me at the end (yes, we used protection).

Despite the stabs of pain, which I would've assumed was my hymen finally tearing, I didn't bleed? He's of slightly above average size and penetrated me fully, but do you think perhaps my hymen is so far in that it didn't actually break? Otherwise why was there pain but no blood? Is it possible to feel pain but not bleed at all?

P.S. I'm quite sure my hymen was intact before because I don't do rigorous physical stuff or use tampons. We actually tried sex twice previously but he only finally penetrated me completely last night.
