I have a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, and the check engine light came on, and I had it hooked up to a computer and it's telling me that my Transmission is slipping but it isn't. So, I have a hunch that it's the shift sensor or whatever because it shifts just fine but when it goes from first to second it goes up to like between 3-4 RPMs, then it's just fine. Can anyone tell me what this thing is really called, where it's located, and what they think it could really be? Because there isn't anything wrong with it or anything, it just gets up to 3-4 RPMs before it shifts from first to second.
One; I'm not very car savvy okay? There's no need to be a dick.
Two; I'm asking what it could possibly be, and how I fix it. That's all.
Three; I'm only running it because it's the only way of transportation that I have, and I have alot of things going on that involve a vehicle.

Thank you to the ones that aren't being rude. It's appreciated
