Hello all. I drive a 4.0 liter, i6, 4x4, '00 Jeep Cherokee that is completely stock. I want to get a lift, but I feel it would only be for looks. I mean, what trails could I hit so hard in Northern Alabama that could really tear up my suspension? Anyways, I would like to compromise and maybe get a 2" lift on the front with coil springs.

I would also like to look into just replacing the suspension overall with a more rugged off-road suspension.

Anyways my questions are-

What suspension could I get (leaf and coil) that wouldn't raise my Jeep but making it more rugged and able to take a beating?

Or

If I was to get a two inch lift on the front, what coils would I get? And would I have to get a different type of leaf springs? Or would regular springs that I spend $100 on fit my Jeep with a 2 inch lift? Would I have to get U-bolts for the back to make it work?

I go outdoors, but I sure as hell don't climb mountains. It would just be nice to not hear a *BANG!* whenever I hit a hole deeper than 4 inches. Haha!
