I recently decided to get an eye exam since its been 10+ years since my last. Towards the end of the exam when the optometrist was explaining what he thought needed correcting I could have sworn he stated that I was slightly near sighted with a small astigmatism. My prescription is as follows:
O.D. +1.00 -1.50 x 005
O.S. +.75 -1.00 x180

The way I understand it the first number is the correction for nearsighted/farsightedness a + would indicate a correction for farsightedness and a - would indicate a correction for nearsightedness. The second number then indicates the correction for my astigmatism. So if I am reading it right my prescription was wrote for a slight correction for farsightedness/my astigmatism?
