Mental health taken seriously?!?

Why do those with bipolar get taken seriously but those with borderline personality disorder do not? I understand the difference in the disorders but just because one is easier to treat than the other does not mean professionals should just give up!
It really gets to me when certain people with bipolar complain that they are suffering 'more'. I believe everyone suffers differently with mental health but those with borderline are just as hurt and dangerous as those with bipolar so why say bipolar is more serious???

What kind of mental health disorder are you referring here? Can you site at least one.
