My dad agreed to buy me a motorbike for my 18th birthday, so now I have to choose which one.

I don't know much about motorbikes but I want one which is fast so I can beat all the cars at traffic lights. Is Harley Davidson a good brand? Any recommendations?
@Steve Y - yeah but the LAMS is a joke, they don't really enforce it.
