This apparently did not mean merely having knowledge of what was good and what was bad for them, for the first man and woman had such knowledge by reason of God’s commands to them. Furthermore, God’s words at Genesis 3:22 could not pertain to their now knowing what was bad by experience, for Jehovah said that they had become like him and he has not learned what is bad by doing it. (Ps 92:14,Â*15) Evidently, Adam and Eve got to know what was good and what was bad in the special sense of now judging for themselves what was good and what was bad. They were idolatrously placing their judgment above God’s, disobediently becoming a law to themselves, as it were, instead of obeying Jehovah, who has both the right and the wisdom necessary to determine good and bad. So their independent knowledge, or standard, of good and bad was not like that of Jehovah. Rather, it was one that led them to misery.
THE ISSUE IS OBEDIENCE ,,,,IF WE BELONG TO GOD THEN WE LIVE IN OBEDIENCE !!
JESUS SAID IF YOU LOVE HIM THEN WE WILL OBEY HIM !!!
CAN'T BE ANY OTHER WAY ,, IF WE DO NOT LIVE IN OBEDIENCE AND REPENTANCE WE ARE NOT SAVED !!
not that he would become a god that he would have a eternal body after eating from the tree of life.
Adam would have been stuck in a sinful body for all eternity with out it being changed.
God had forbidden Adam and Eve from eating of this tree and it was a test of their obedience and faithfulness. They had a great future ahead of them if they had been obedient one must presume, but they rebelled.
The LORD God had created them, it was for God to lay down His rules and it was for mankind to obey. Gods can be any old lump of stone that's worshipped or a people who know it all in their own minds. It takes them away from the LORD God and salvation. We can see this with all the nations that sacrificed their children to their gods and practised great immorality.
God kicked adam AND eve out of the garden of eden.
he did this because they both disobeyed him
