    how many chromosomes are present in sex cells?

    There are 23 sex chromosomes from each parent.
    When they are combined, you get 46 chromosomes.

    i think when a cell splits in two, they both have 23 chromosomes. But when they're together, they have 46. I don't know exactly because I forgot some stuff of cells from 7th grade. But I'll be in biology next year, so yeah, I might be wrong.
