When we were young, my cousin had a hollow aluminum hiking staff. The sections screwed together, concealing a "survival kit" inside. It was waterproof, and blue (but I think they came in other colors). Anyone remember these, and what they were called? I can't seem to find them using Google. Thanks!
No, the one at Cabela's (and other outlets) isn't the same--this one was almost like sections of 1" tubing that screwed together to make the staff. It had an astronaut blanket, emergency tent, all kinds of stuff... Seems like it had smaller waterproof plastic tubes inside, to keep everything in.
